The interesting paper deals with entire viscosity solutions of the fully nonlinear elliptic equation \[ H(x,u,Du,D^2u)=\xi(x)f(u)+h(x), \] where \(f:\;\mathbb{R}\to\mathbb{R}\) is a continuous, odd and non-decreasing function which is strictly positive for \(t>0\) and satisfies the the Keller-Osserman condition \[ \int_1^\infty \dfrac{dt}{\sqrt{F(t)}}<\infty,\quad F(t)=\int_0^t f(s)\;ds. \] The functions \(\xi,h:\;\mathbb{R}^n\to\mathbb{R}\) are continuous with \(\xi\) non-negative which can vanish only at isolated points. Employing viscosity methods through barrier functions of Osserman type, the author proves the existence of entire viscosity solutions, extending this way the classical result of [\textit{H. Brezis,} Appl. Math. Optim., 12, 271--282 (1984; Zbl 0562.35035)] to the fully nonlinear setting.
