Using the weak Omori-Yau maximum principle for the Hessian and, respectively, for the Laplacian, very interesting estimates are obtained for the extrinsic and intrinsic curvature of cylindrically bounded submanifolds of warped products. These results are partially extended to the more general case of immersions into the total space of a Riemannian submersion.
