The factors of the invariant factors of the Bézout matrix of a parametric rational curve is computed in terms of the singularity in terms of invariants of the singularities of the curve. This also answers two conjectures about these factors (stated for the Sylvester matrix of a parametric rational curve, but the question can be reduced to the Bézout matrix) by \textit{F. Chen} and \textit{W. Wang} [J. Symb. Comp. 43, No. 2, 92--117 (2008; Zbl 1130.14039)].
