In this paper the following theorem is shown: Let \(\Omega \) be a smooth, bounded, pseudoconvex Reinhardt domain in \(\mathbb C^2\) whose \(\overline{\partial} \)-Neumann operator \(N\) is noncompact on \(L^2_{(0,1)}(\Omega ).\) If \(G\) is a smooth bounded, pseudoconvex domain in \(\mathbb C^n\) fibered over \(\Omega \) and there exists a constant \(C\) such that all points \((z,w)\in G\) (where \(z\in \Omega\) and \(w\in \mathbb C^{n-2}\) ) satisfy the restriction \(\| w \| < C\, d(z,b\Omega )^{1/2},\) then \(G\) has a noncompact \(\overline{\partial} \)-Neumann operator. As a corollary the author constructs some simple examples of higher-dimensional domains that have noncompact \(\overline{\partial}\)-Neumann operator although they are neither product domains nor convex domains with analytic disks in the boundary.
