The paper deals with an extension of a well-known property of meromorphic functions in \(\mathbb{C}\) for holomorphic curves. Let \(p\) be a positive integer and assume \(n\) is a positive integer not less than two. Then the main result of this paper can be stated as follows: There exists a holomorphic curve \(f : \mathbb{C}\to \mathbb{P}_n(\mathbb{C})\) of order \(p\) mean type with infinite deficient hyperplanes \(\{H_j\}^{+\infty}_{j=1}\) satisfying \(\sum^{+\infty}_{j=1}\delta(f, H_j)^\alpha=+\infty\), where \(0 < \alpha < 1/3\). For related results, see \textit{V. I. Krutin}'s paper [Izv. Akad. Nauk SSSR, Ser. Mat. 42, 1021--1049 (1978; Zbl 0406.30020)].
