The author proves that if \(f\) continuously maps a compact subset \(X\) of \(\mathbb R^n\) into \(\mathbb R^n\), and all fibers of points in \(f(\partial X)\) have diameter smaller than the distance of a point of \(X\) from the boundary of \(X\), then this point is mapped by \(f\) to the interior of \(f(X)\).
