The author considers the mixed boundary value problem for the Helmholtz equation \[ \begin{cases} \Delta u+k^{2}u=0 &\text{in }\Omega \smallsetminus \overline{D}, \\ \frac{\partial u}{\partial \nu }+i\sigma u=g(x) &\text{on }\partial D, \\ u=f(x) &\text{on }\partial \Omega, \end{cases} \] where \(D\subset \mathbb R^{m}(m=2,3)\) a bounded domain satisfying \( \overline{D}\subset \Omega ,\) \(\partial D\) and \(\partial \Omega \) are smooth. He studies the solvability of the problem for \((f,g)\in C(\partial D)\times C^{1,\alpha }(\partial \Omega)\) with \(\alpha \in (0,1]\) by applying the potential theory. Then is presented the discrete form of boundary integral equation. The convergence rate of the regularized solution is also established. Finally, some numerical results are presented.
