For the difference equation \(\Delta(a_n\Delta(b_n\Delta(c_n\Delta y_n)))+ f_n(y_n)= 0\) conditions are given such that there exists a constant \(d\neq 0\) and a solution with \(y_n\sim d\varphi_n\) resp. \(y_n\sim d\mu_n\), where \(\rho_n= \sum^\infty_{j=n} 1/c_j\sum^\infty_{i=j} 1/b_i\) and \(\mu_n= \sum^{n-1}_{i=1} 1/c_i\).
