On an entry of Ramanujan in his Notebooks: a nested roots expansion (Q1765269)

Extending results of S. Ramanujan (1887--1920) and others, the authors prove a continued radical expansion of nonnegative integers according to partitions as the sum of three such integers. They provide numerical examples to compare the convergence of various forms, some improving on Ramanujan's representations. Reference is made to results on the convergence of nested radicals.
