Eventual compactness for semiflows generated by nonlinear age-structured models (Q1767328)

The authors investigate the compactness of the semiflow generated by a semilinear evolution equation in a Banach space. They assume that the linear part of \(A\) is not necessarily densely defined and satisfies the known Hille-Yosida condition. The semigroup generated by the part of \(A\) in the closure of the domain \(D(A)\) is assumed to be compact. For illustration, an age-structured population model is provided.
