Chébli-Trimèche hypergroups correspond to generalized convolution structures over \({\mathbb R}_+=[0;+\infty)\) related to a special class of second order differential operators which includes, in particular, the Bessel and Jacobi operators. If \(X\), \(Y\) are topological vector spaces, \(S_n: X\mapsto Y\) is a continuous linear mapping for every \(n\in{\mathbb N}\) and \[ U:=\{x\in X: \overline{\{S_nx: n\in {\mathbb N}\}}=Y\}, \] then every \(x\in U\) is called hypercyclic for \(\{S_n\}_{n\in {\mathbb N}}\). The family \(\{S_n\}_{n\in {\mathbb N}}\) has the universality property if the set \(X\setminus U\) is of first category in \(X\). In the paper under review the authors establish the universality property for certain generalized convolution operators. They also investigate hypercyclic and chaotic convolution operators on Chébli-Trimèche hypergroups in some distribution spaces.
