The first section of the paper describes the weight filtration which comes from the eigenvalues of the Frobenius automorphism acting on the étale intersection cohomology. For toric varieties, this automorphism can be induced from an endomorphism of the complex points. The next sections prove that equivariant intersection cohomology of an arbitrary toric variety is pure and that the non-equivariant intersection cohomology is equal to the cohomology of the Koszul complex. The last section studies the behavior of the Poincaré polynomials, which are the weighted Euler characteristics.
