In the present study the author provides a solution for the two-dimensional stationary problem, where the solution is the neutron density. The author presents a variational method for approximating solutions of the Dirichlet problem for the neutron transport equation in the stationary case. The approximate solutions of numerical examples are compared with the accurate solution, thereby producing an estimation error.
