This paper concerns Fourier-Mukai (FM) partners of \(K3\) surfaces of Picard number equal to \(1\) and \(2\). Let \(S\) and \(M\) be two \(K3\) surfaces. \(S\) and \(M\) are said to be FM partners if one of the following equivalent conditions is satisfied: (1) \(D(S) \cong D(M)\); (2) there exists a Hodge isometry of transcendental periods \(T(S) \cong T(M)\); (3) there exists a Hodge isometry between the Mukai lattices \(\widetilde{H}(S) \cong \widetilde{H}(M)\); (4) \(M\) is isomorphic to a 2-dimensional fine compact moduli space of stable sheaves on \(S\) with respect to some polarization on \(S\). Here \(D(S)\) denotes the bounded derived category of coherent sheaves on \(S\), \(T(S)=NS(S)^{\perp}\) the transcendental lattice of \(S\), \(NS(S)\) the Néron-Severi lattice of \(S\), and \(\widetilde{H}(S)\) the Mukai lattice of \(S\), i.e. the full cohomology group \(H^*(S,\mathbb Z)\) endowed with the Mukai product. \textit{S. Hosono, B. H. Lian, K. Oguiso} and \textit{S.-T. Yau} found [in: Vector bundles and representation theory. Proc. Conf. Columbia 2002, Contemp. Math. 322, 43--55 (2003; Zbl 1058.14056)] a formula that counts the number of nonisomorphic FM partners of a \(K3\) surface. The first main result obtained here, is in giving a description of the Mukai vectors of the moduli spaces which arise by the equivalence (1)--(4) above. The author also gets an existence result for \(K3\) surfaces endowed by a polarization of given degree \(d\) having at least \(N\) nonisomorphic FM partners. This result was already obtained by \textit{K. Oguiso} [Math. Res. Lett. 9, No. 1, 47--63 (2002; Zbl 1043.14010)] using different methods.
