The authors consider a \(\sigma\)-complete totally ordered dense-in-itself effect algebra \(L\) equipped with its order topology \(\tau_0^{L}\). They use results of \textit{A. Aizpuru} and \textit{A. Gutierrez-Davila} [Chin. Ann. Math., Ser. B 25, No. 3, 335--346 (2003; Zbl 1089.46007)], \textit{F. G. Mazario} [Bull. Aust. Math. Soc. 64, 213--231 (2001; Zbl 1006.28010)] and the Antosik-Mikusinski theorem [cf. \textit{J. Wu, S. Lu} and \textit{D. Kim}, Int. J. Theor. Phys. 42, 1905--1911 (2003; Zbl 1047.81006)] to prove their main theorem. It says that an orthogonal family \(\{ a_{i, \alpha}\}_{\alpha\in\Lambda}\) of \(L\) is order topology \(\tau_0^{L}\) uniformly orthosummable with respect to \(i\in {\mathbb N}\), provided \(\{ a_{i, \alpha}\}_{\alpha\in\Lambda}\) is orthosummable for each \(i\in {\mathbb N}\), and some additional requirements concerning the convergence or Cauchy property of some subfamilies are fulfilled.
