The author extends the Jacquet-Langlands correspondence between Hecke modules of classical modular forms and quaternionic forms to overconvergent \(p\)-adic forms of finite slope (Theorem 2). It turns out that such a correspondence respects \(p\)-adic families and is induced by rigid analytic isomorphism between the corresponding eigencurves (Theorem 3). The construction is based on technical computations in representation theory and a generalization of much of Coleman's theory of families of \(p\)-adic Banach space (sections 3 and 4). Possible generalizations and open problems are included.
