A modified AOR iterative method for precoditioned linear systems (Q1769336)

This is a continuation of the work of \textit{D. J. Evans}, \textit{M. M. Martins} and \textit{M. E. Trigo} [J. Comput. Appl. Math. 132, No. 2, 461--466 (2001; Zbl 0992.65022)]. The authors deal with the accelerated overrelaxation (AOR) iterative method for new preconditioned linear systems. The new preconditioner used is a generalization of the one presented by Evans et al. [loc. cit.]. As a result, the rate of convergence of the preconditioned AOR is improved.
