The present article aims at constructing global solutions to the Einstein-Dirac (ED) equation on the (quadratic algebraic, 4-dimensional) conformal space \({\mathcal M}\) (originally introduced by Dirac), which is the boundary of the 5-dimensional anti-de Sitter space; it can be birationally mapped into the compactified Minkowski space \(\overline{M}\), which, in turn, is mapped birationally to \(U(2) = SU(2)\times U(1)\cong S^3\times S^1\). The authors show that \(SU(2)\cong\overline M\cap P_0\), with \(P_0\) a hyperplane. In this way, a metric is induced on \({\mathcal M}\) via the canonical product metric on \(S^3\times S^1\). The problem of finding a solution of the ED-equation is then reduced to the study of the eigenvalue problem for the Dirac Laplacian on \(S^3\) and solved explicitly by exhibiting the \(\lambda\)-eigenkernels. The computations are involved, but the paper is easy to read since complete and detailed arguments are given.
