The pointwise convergence of Fourier expansions with respect to the Walsh transform of a wavelet type system is studied. It is proved that the Fourier expansion of \(f\in L_p\) \((1<p<\infty)\) converges a.e. to \(f\), and if \(f\in L_1\) then the same holds for the Cesàro means. In case of Ciesielski-Fourier series the almost everywhere convergence was proved in [\textit{F. Schipp}, Stud. Math. 58, 287--290 (1976; Zbl 0353.42013)] and in [\textit{Z. Ciesielski}, Approximation Theory, Banach Center Publ. 4, 55--68 (1979; Zbl 0442.41031)], and the Cesàro summability in [\textit{F. Weisz}, Stud. Math. 146, No.~3, 227--243 (2001; Zbl 0988.46003)].
