    The author studies functions satisfying an extended mean-value inequality. Namely, he says that a locally-summable function \(f:D\rightarrow {\mathbb R}\), in a domain \(D\subset {\mathbb R}^n, n\geq 2\), possesses the HL-property if \[ f(a)\leq cr^{-n} \int _{B(a,r)} f(x) \,dV(x) \] for any ball \(B(a,r)\subset D\). Thus this class includes, for example, subharmonic functions. In a proper domain \(D\) with a conformal metric \(ds=\rho ^{-1}(x)| dx| \), where \(\rho \in C^1\) in a larger domain \(\overline{D} \subset D_1\), \(\rho >0\) in \(D\) and \(d\rho _x \neq 0\) on \(\partial D\), the Laplace-Beltrami operator is \[ \Delta _{\rho}f=\rho^n \frac{\partial}{\partial x_i} \left(\rho ^{2-n}\frac{\partial f}{\partial x_i} \right). \] For eigenfunctions \(f\) of \(\Delta _{\rho}\), the author proves that both \(| f| ^p\) and \(| \nabla f| ^p\) possess the HL-property for all \(p>0\). He also proves that some weighted \(L^p-\)norms of \(\nabla f\) are dominated by norms of \(f\).
