The unknotting numbers of several knots of ten or fewer crossings are determined, using properties of various knot invariants -- the Jones and Brandt-Lickorish-Millett-Ho polynomials, the determinant, the signature, and the linking form on the first homology of a double branched cover of the three-sphere. The author also states several conjectures regarding the inter-relationships among these invariants.
