On the best choice for the generating polynomial of a Padé-type approximation (Q1770936)

Let \(f(z)\) be an analytic function in the open disk \(\Delta(0,\rho)\) and \((m/m+1)_f(z)\) is a Padé-type approximant of the Taylor series of \(f(z)\). The problem of the ``best'' choice of interpolation points to the generating polynomial of Padé-type approximants is studied in this paper. The estimates for the approximation errors (pointwise, \(L^2\) and uniform) are given. Bibliography contains 6 titles.
