Let \(A\) be complete local Cohen-Macaulay ring of characteristic \(p>0\) with perfect residue field. Denote by \(F_\bullet\) a complex of finitely generated free \(A\)-modules with homologies of finite length, furthermore by \(F^n(F_\bullet)\) the complex obtained from \(F_\bullet\) by the \(n\)th iteration of the Frobenius map, and let \(N\) be a finitely generated \(A\)-module. Dutta showed that there are constants \(C_{ij}\) such that \[ \ell(\text{Tor}^A_j(H_i(F^n(F_\bullet)), N))\leq C_{ij} p^{n\dim N}, \] if \(\text{codim\,}N= \dim A- \dim N\leq 1\). This inequality helps to establish in some cases the positivity of the asymptotic Euler characteristic \(\chi_\infty\) defined by Dutta. In this paper, the author extends Dutta's theorem to the case \(\text{codim\,} N\leq 2\). He also gives an example that similar inequalities do not hold in the case \(\text{codim\,}N =3\).
