Almost optimal estimates for entropy numbers of \(B_{2,2}^{1/2}\) and its consequences (Q1775184)

Let \(B^s_{pq} ({\mathbb T})\) be the periodic Besov spaces on the interval \([0,2\pi ]\). The case \(1<p=q< \infty\) and \(s=1/p\) is called critical because of its delicate embeddings into some Orlicz spaces \(E_\nu ({\mathbb T}) = L_{t^2 \exp t^\nu} ({\mathbb T})\). Of interest are the entropy numbers of related compact embeddings. The paper deals especially with the case \(p=2\) and closes some gaps left open so far.
