Let \((X,D)\) be a \(D\)-metric space (\(D: X \times X \times X \to \mathbb R_+\); \ see \textit{B. C. Dhage} [Bull. Calcutta Math. Soc., 84, No. 4, 329--336 (1992; Zbl 0782.54037)]). Let \(S,T: X \to X\) be two operators. The authors give some metric conditions which imply that \(S\) and \(T\) have a unique common fixed point. No examples are given.
