This paper deals with the notion of fuzzy compactness in intuitionistic fuzzy topological spaces [\textit{D. Çoker}, Fuzzy Sets Syst. 88, No. 1, 81--89 (1997; Zbl 0923.54001)]. Some basic facts are studied and a Tychonoff theorem is obtained.
