The authors consider the equation \[ \frac {dx}{dt}=A(t)x\;(t\in [0,\infty)), \] where \(A\) is a continuous almost-periodic \(n\times n\)-matrix function on \([0,\infty).\) The matrix \(A\) has the form \(A=A_1A_2\), where the \(n\times n\)-matrices \(A_1,\;A_2\) are continuous on \([0,\infty)\) and periodic with periods \(\omega>0\) and \(\theta>0\), respectively, where \(\omega=\alpha_0\theta\) and \(\alpha_0\) is irrational. Conditions are derived under which the zero solution is exponentially stable. An auxiliary differential equation \[ \frac {dx}{dt}=A_h(t)x,\quad t\in [0,\infty), \] with a piece-wise constant matrix \(A_h\) is constructed. The relation between the exponential bound for the Cauchy matrix of the auxiliary equation and the exponential stability of the zero solution is established.
