If a closed \(\mathbb {P}^2\)-irreducible 3-manifold is distinct from \(S^3, \mathbb {RP}^3\) and \(L_{3,1}\), then its complexity equals the minimum number of tetrahedra needed to triangulate it, see [\textit{B. Martelli} and \textit{C. Petronio}, Ill. J. Math. 46, 755--780 (2002; Zbl 1033.57011)]. The authors repair an error in their earlier classification of \(\mathbb {P}^2\)-irreducible manifolds of complexity \(< 7\), and extend the classification to complexity 7.
