Many recent papers have emphasized the important role of Poisson transforms in multivariable operator theory (see, for example, \textit{W.~B.\ Arveson} [Acta Math.\ 181, 159--228 (1998; Zbl 0952.46035)] or \textit{G.~Popescu} [J.\ Funct.\ Anal.\ 161, 27--61 (1999; Zbl 0933.46070); Proc.\ Edinb.\ Math.\ Soc.\ 44, 389--406 (2001; Zbl 0986.47052)]). It is the aim of the paper under review to continue these studies even in the more general settings of completely positive (c.p.) linear maps on unital \(C^*\)-algebras generated by universal row contractions. Related moment problems associated with any admissible subset \(\Sigma\) of the free semigroup \({\mathbb F}_n^+\) with \(n\) generators \(g_1,\dots,g_n\) and neutral element \(g_0\) are considered. More precisely, the operator moment problem for Poisson transforms (resp., c.p.\ maps) on the Cuntz--Toeplitz algebra \(C^*(S_1,\dots,S_n)\) generated by the creation operators \(S_1,\dots,S_n\) on the full Fock space with \(n\) generators, associated to the map \(L:\Sigma\to B({\mathcal H})\) (\(\mathcal H\) is a Hilbert space), entails finding a Poisson transform (resp., a c.p.\ map) \(\mu :C^*(S_1,\dots,S_n)\to B({\mathcal H})\) such that \(L(p(g_1,\dots,g_n))=\mu(p(S_1,\dots,S_n))L(g_0)\) for any polynomial \(p(g_1,\dots,g_n)\) in \({\mathbb C}\Sigma\). Similar results are obtained if \(C^*(S_1,\dots,S_n)\) is replaced by the \(C^*\)-algebra \(C^*(B_1,\dots,B_n)\) generated by a universal row contraction \([B_1,\dots,B_n]\) satisfying \(B_jB_i=\lambda_{ji}B_iB_j\) for certain \(\lambda_{ji}\in{\mathbb C}\) (\(1\leq i<j\leq n\)). If \(\lambda_{ji}=1\) (resp. \(\lambda_{ji}=-1\)) for \(1\leq i<j\leq n\), then \(B_1,\dots,B_n\) are the creation operators on the symmetric (resp., anti-symmetric) Fock space. Related moment problems for the quotient \({\mathbb C}{\mathbb F}_n^+/J_h\), where \(J_h\) is a two-sided ideal of the complex free semigroup algebra \({\mathbb C}{\mathbb F}_n^+\) generated by a set of homogeneous polynomials in \({\mathbb C}{\mathbb F}_n^+\), are also considered. Operator-valued trigonometric moment problems for c.p.\ linear maps on the \(C^*\)-algebras described above are solved. Finally, the author shows that all moment type results presented in the paper can be extended to the generalized Cuntz algebra \({\mathcal O}(*_{i=1}^nG_i^+)\), where \(G_i^+\) are the positive cones of some discrete semigroups \(G_i\) of \(\mathbb R\). Characterizations of the orbits of contractive Hilbert modules over \({\mathbb C}[z_1,\dots,z_n],\;{\mathbb C}{\mathbb F}_n^+,\;{\mathbb C}{\mathbb F}_n^+/J_h\) or \({\mathbb C}*_{i=1}^nG_i^+/J\), where \(J\) is a two-sided ideal of the free semigroup algebra \({\mathbb C}*_{i=1}^nG_i^+\), are obtained as consequences.
