The paper presents a two-grid scheme for the characteristics finite-element solution of semi-linear convection-dominated diffusion equations. The method involves solving one small nonlinear problem on the coarse-grid system and one linear problem on the fine-grid system. \(L^2\) and \(H^1\) error estimates of the scheme are derived. A numerical example verifying the efficiency of the method is presented.
