By solving certain inverse eigenvalue problems and block QR decompositions, orthonormal rational function vectors with prescribed singularities are computed. The orthogonality is defined with respect to discrete inner products which are weighted and are associated with prescribed data points. The method is particularly useful because it is defined recursively, and therefore easier to implement. Its complexity is smaller if special configurations of the mentioned data points apply.
