For a Dynkin quiver of type \(ADE\) the author shows how to construct the corresponding Auslander-Reiten quiver as a topological complex inside the Coxeter complex associated with the underlying Dynkin diagram. The approach is very combinatorial. In type \(A\) the study leads to an interesting connection with the so-called wiring diagrams, a key tool in the study of Lusztig's parameterization of the canonical basis.
