Let \(M\) be an \(R\)-semimodule for an additively commutative semiring \((R,+,\cdot)\) with absorbing zero and identity. For any semitopology \(\mathcal T\) on \(M\), an \(N\)-protosummation \({\mathcal S}^p({\mathcal T})\) is constructed, where an \(N\)-protosummation is a generalization of the concept of an \(N\)-summation as defined in part I of the paper [\textit{J. Fillmore, D. Pumplün}, and the author, Appl. Categ. Struct. 10, No. 3, 291-315 (2002; Zbl 1018.16030)]. If \(\mathcal T\) satisfies the unique extension property (UEP) and two more separation properties, a similar construction yields an unconditional \(N\)-summation \({\mathcal S}({\mathcal T})\) on \(M\). Conversely, any \(N\)-protosummation \(\mathcal S\) leads to a semitopology \({\mathcal T}({\mathcal S})\) which is in fact a topology. The set of all semitopologies on \(M\) satisfying UEP is partially ordered by set-theoretical inclusion, and the class of all \(N\)-protosummations on \(M\), such that \({\mathcal T}({\mathcal S})\) satisfies UEP can also be partially ordered in a natural way. The main result establishes a Galois connection between these posets.
