In this paper, the author proves that if the conductor of a numerical semigroup is at most three times the multiplicity, then Wilf's conjecture is satisfied. In order to prove it, some notations are introduced. If $m$ denotes the multiplicity and $c$ the conductor of a numerical semigroup $S$, then we define $q=\lceil c/m \rceil$, $\rho = qm-c$ and $I_j=[jm-\rho,(j+qm)-\rho[$. Thanks to these intervals, the sets $S\cap I_J$ are studied, in particular the Apery set. Also a new constant is introduced. This constant, $W_0$ verifies that $W\geq W_0$ with $W$ the number of Wilf. In the paper, the author proves that if $q\leq 3$ then $W_0\geq 0$ and therefore Wilf's conjecture holds. The paper is easy to read as no specialist knowledge of the subject is required.
