Deformation quantization in the teaching of Lie group representations (Q1784697)

The authors give a detailed presentation based on the example of the Euclidean motion group \(M(2)\) of the method for recovering unitary irreducible representations of Lie groups by using the so-called star-products on the corresponding coadjoint orbits. This method was introduced by \textit{D. Arnal} and \textit{J. C. Cortet} in the years 1980--1990, see in particular [J. Funct. Anal. 92, No. 1, 103--135 (1990; Zbl 0726.22011)].
