Let \((X,d)\) be a metric space. The conformal dimension of \(X\) is defined as \[ \dim_C X := \inf\{\dim_H f(X) : \text{\(f\) is quasisymmetric}\}, \] where \(\dim_H\) denotes the Hausdorff dimension. The author's main result is the following: For every real number \(c \geq 1\), there exists a Jordan arc \(\Lambda\) with \(\dim_C \Lambda = c\).
