This article is concerned with the first order system \[ Jy' + By= \lambda y \] on \((a,c)\cup(c,\infty)\) with a transmission condition \[ y(c+) = C y(c-) \] at the point \(c>a\), where \[ J = \begin{pmatrix} 0 & -1 \\ 1 & 0 \end{pmatrix}, \qquad B = \begin{pmatrix} p & 0 \\ 0 & r \end{pmatrix}, \] \(p\), \(r\) are real-valued and locally integrable functions on \([a,\infty)\) and \(C\) is a real \(2\times 2\) matrix with \(\det C>0\). It is shown that this system is always in the limit-point case at \(\infty\).
