Equivalence between almost-greedy and semi-greedy bases (Q1799771)

In [\textit {S. Dilworth} et al., Stud. Math. 159, No. 1, 67--101 (2003; Zbl 1056.46014)] it was proved that any almost greedy basis in a Banach space is semi-greedy, and in the case when a Banach space has finite cotype, the converse is also proved. The main result of this paper asserts that the equivalence of almost greedy and semi-greedy bases is also true without the assumption of finiteness of the cotype.
