Let \(X\) be a Banach space, and let \(K\) denote the unit ball of \(X^*\) equipped with the weak\(^*\) topology. Let \(Y\) be another Banach space, then \(X \hat \otimes_ \varepsilon Y\), the injective tensor product of \(X\) and \(Y\), can be viewed as a subspace of \(C(K,Y)\), the space of all continuous \(Y\)-valued functions defined on \(K\). Under the hypotheses that \(X^*\) is isometric to an \(L^ 1\) space, the authors study when an unconditionally converging operator on \(X\hat \otimes_ \varepsilon Y\) to an unconditionally converging operator on \(C(K,Y)\). The same problem is studied for completely continuous or weakly completely continuous operators as well. The class of Banach spaces \(X\) for which every bounded linear operator \(T:X \to X^*\) is weakly compact, is introduced and studied.
