Let \(X\) be a compact Riemann surface of genus \(g\geq 2\) and let \(\Aut(X)\) be the conformal automorphism group on \(X\). Since an automorphism induces a linear transformation of the space of holomorphic differentials on \(X\), there is a canonical representations of the space of holomorphic differentials on \(X\), there is a canonical representation \(\rho\) of \(\Aut(X)\to GL(g,\mathbb{C})\). In this paper, the author studies conditions for a nonabelian subgroup \(G\bigl(\subset GL(g,\mathbb{C})\bigr)\) of order 8 to be conjugate to an image under \(\rho\) for some \(X\). The result is the following: Let \(G\) be as above and let \(\xi_ G\) be the character of the natural representation \(G\to GL(g,\mathbb{C})\). Let \(n_ 1\xi_ 1+\cdots+n_ 5\xi_ 5\) be the decomposition into irreducible character of \(\xi_ G\). If \(G\) satisfies the \(CY\)- and \(RH\)-conditions, then except for one case, \(g\equiv 1\pmod 4\) and \(n_ 1=1\), \(n_ 2=n_ 3=n_ 4=0\), \(n_ 5\equiv 0\pmod 2\), it is an image under \(\rho\). For the definitions of \(CY\)- and \(RH\)-conditions, e.g. refer \textit{I. Kuribayashi} [Kodai Math. J. 7, 222-237 (1984; Zbl 0575.32025)].
