The authors assign to the Cauchy problem \(y'(t)+Ay(t)+Fy(t)\ni 0\), \(t\in(0,T)\), \(y(0)=y_ 0\) in a real Banach space \(X\) \((A\) and \(F\) are nonlinear operators) the approximating problems \(y_ \varepsilon'(t)+Ay_ \varepsilon(t)\ni 0\), \(t\in[i\varepsilon,(i+1)\varepsilon]\), \(y_ \varepsilon(i\varepsilon)=z_ \varepsilon(\varepsilon)\) if \(i=1,2,\dots,N-1\), \(y_ \varepsilon(0)=y_ 0\) and \(z_ \varepsilon'(t)+Fz_ \varepsilon(t)=0\), \(t\in[0,\varepsilon]\), \(z_ \varepsilon(0)=y^ +_ \varepsilon(i\varepsilon)\), \(i=1,2,\dots,N-1\). The main novelty is that \(A\) is nonlinear and \(\omega-m\) accretive and \(F\) is continuous on closed convex subsets of \(X\). Under natural assumptions the authors prove that \(\lim_{\varepsilon\to 0}y_ \varepsilon(t)=y(t)\) for every \(t\geq 0\) and \(y_ 0\in K\) and the limit is uniform on bounded \(t\) intervals.
