The paper is devoted to the analysis of convergence of difference method for two-dimensional equations of gas dynamics in the case of initial- boundary value problem with periodic data. The authors apply energy inequalities to the study of two-level implicit difference scheme and show that the \(O(\tau^ 2+h^ 2)\)-accuracy in the sense of the space \(L_{2,h}\) holds if the solution has continuous derivatives up to the third order.
