The properties of the solutions of some partial differential equations (Q1803480)

This paper extends the author's earlier one [ibid. 32, No. 1, 59-70 (1992; Zbl 0763.35016)]. The paper discusses the properties of the fundamental solutions of the partial differential equation \[ \sum^ n_{i=0}\sum^ m_{j=0}a_{ij}P_{ij}(D_ t) x^ j D^ i_ xu(x,t)=0 \] which is governed by the ion-sonic wave equation for an incompressible fluid field. The author establishes the explicit formula for the solution of the Cauchy problem for some specific example and obtains general results on the fundamental solution of the unsteady two- dimensional ion-sonic wave equation for an incompressible fluid field.
