Let \(X\) be an infinite-dimensional complex Banach space with open unit ball \(B\). The spectrum \({\mathfrak M}={\mathfrak M}(B)\) of the uniform algebra \(H^ \infty(B)\) of bounded analytic functions on \(B\) is fibered in a natural way over the closed unit ball \(B^{**}\) of the bidual \(X^{**}\) of \(X\). The purpose of this paper is to embed analytic disks in the fiber \({\mathfrak M}_ 0\) over \(0\). One of the main results of this paper is Theorem 5.1. Let \(\Delta\) be the open unit disk in the complex plane. Suppose \(\{z_ k\}\) is a sequence in \(B^{**}\) which converges weak star to \(0\), such that the distance from \(z_ k\) to the linear span of \(z_ 1,\dots,z_{k-1}\) tends to 1 as \(k\to\infty\). Then passing to a subsequence one can find a sequence of analytic disks \(\lambda\to z_ k(\lambda)\) \((\lambda\in\Delta, k\geq 1)\) in \(B^{**}\) with \(z_ k(0)= z_ k\), such that for each \(\lambda\in\Delta\), \(\{z_ k(\lambda)\}\) is an interpolating sequence for \(H^ \infty(B)\). Furthermore, the correspondence \((k,\lambda)\to z_ k(\lambda)\) extends to an embedding \(\Phi: \beta(\mathbb{N})\times\Delta\to {\mathfrak M}\) such that \(\Phi((\beta(\mathbb{N})\backslash\mathbb{N})\times\Delta)\subset{\mathfrak M}_ 0\) and \(f\circ \Phi\) is analytic on each slice \(\{p\}\times\Delta\) for all \(f\in H^ \infty(B)\) and \(p\in\beta(\mathbb{N})\). The conditions under which the unit ball of certain infinite-dimensional Banach spaces \(Y\) can be injected analytically into the fiver over \(0\) are given too. In conclusion the extending of the embedding results to other algebras of analytic functions associated with \(X\) are indicated.
