Assuming a two-component mixture model for the mechanical behavior of skin tissue, the authors study the creep of a skin under a constant surface pressure, by use of the Hankel and Laplace transforms. The surface stress boundary conditions lead to Volterra integral equations of the first kind which are solved by numerical techniques. The calculated displacements at two distinctive moments are compared with those obtained by an elastic solution for either incompressible or compressible solid. The transient of creep response of the skin is also presented. The work is just a direct use of well-known field equations and mathematical techniques.
