Like all deep and interesting objects the Bargmann transform of \(L_2 (\mathbb{R})\) to the Segal-Bargmann space has many different interpretations. The author in a series of papers [Tokyo J. Math. 13, 421-427 (1990; Zbl 0735.46012)], [J. Math. Kyoto Univ. 33, 1125-1142 (1993; Zbl 0801.43003)], [Tokyo J. Math. 17, 229-232 (1994)] developed an interpretation via generating functions of symmetrical polynomials on homogeneous spaces. Namely, the classical kernel \(A(w,t)\) of the Bargmann transform \(f(w) = \int_\mathbb{R} A(w,t) \psi (t)dt\) is considered as a generating function for the Hermite polynomials in \(t\). In a similar way one can construct a family of Bargmann-like transforms using other classical symmetrical functions on homogeneous spaces. This has been done by the author in previous papers for the Gegenbauer polynomials. In the present paper the author announces results for the case of zonal spherical functions for the homogeneous space \(S (\mathbb{C}^n) = U(n)/U(n - 1)\). An explicit form of the integral kernel \(A_n (\zeta, \nu; z)\) is also given.
