The authors study the black reaction of a thermal field in a weak gravitational background depicting the farfield limit of a black hole enclosed in a box by a closed time path (CTP) effective action and the influence functional method. An Einstein-Langevin equation \[ \begin{multlined} \frac{1}{\ell_p^2} \int d^4x' L_{(0)}^{\mu\nu, \alpha,\beta} (x-x')h_{\alpha\beta} (x')+ \tfrac{1}{2} T_{(\beta)}^{\mu\nu}+\\ \int d^4x' (H^{\mu\nu, \alpha\beta} (x-x')- D^{\mu\nu, \alpha\beta} (x-x')) h_{\alpha\beta} (x')+ j^{\mu\nu}(x)= 0 ,\end{multlined} \] describing the nonequilibrium dynamics of the gravitational perturbation under the influence of the thermal field is set up. The connection between the present theory and the linear response theory (LRT) is clearly established. After an introduction, the CTP effective action at a finite temperature is investigated, which is followed and aided by a discussion. The final section on conclusions deals with some interesting facts of the fluctuation of the black hole spacetime.
