The present paper is a contribution to the physical question of how the transition to the classical regime takes place in the context of quantum cosmology. In particular, the author studies decoherence and correlation phenomena in a simple cosmological model (a neutral scalar field conformally coupled to a spatially flat Robertson-Walker metric). The theorem of Riemann-Lebesgue is cited to show for example the energy decoherence in the limit \(\eta\to\infty\), where \(\eta\) means the conformal time. The paper is difficult to follow for mathematically oriented readers, since for details one is often told to consult the references and many of the expressions used remain unspecified from the mathematical point of view.
