The homogenization problem on nested fractals (an existence of limit theorems of a random process for changing scales) was examined by \textit{T. Kumagai} and \textit{S. Kusuoka} [Probab. Theory Relat. Fields 104, No. 3, 375-398 (1996; Zbl 0843.31004)]. The limit theorems were proved under a certain assumption excluding the class of tree-like fractals, like Vicsek set. In the present paper, stronger results are proved under weaker assumptions just for this particular class of nested fractals. Random irreducible conductivities are assigned to each cell in the infinite fractal lattice and then the rescaled effective resistance is considered (two cases are examined: either each edge of the fractal ``grid'' \(F_\mathcal F\) is assigned a random conductivity or, similarly as in loc. cit., a random set of conductivities is assigned to each unit cell in \(F_\mathcal F\)). The convergence of the rescaled effective resistance is then proved under the only assumption that the effective resistance across the unit cell has finite first moment. Further, the limiting behaviour of the corresponding Markov chains under fractal ``Brownian motion'' scaling is discussed. The weak convergence (under the measure on the conductivities and for almost all environments) of Markov chains to a diffusion on the fractal is proved under somewhat stronger (but perhaps not the best possible) moment conditions, namely that also both the first moment of conductivity and the fourth moment of effective resistance across the unit cell are finite. The limit process does not, in general, coincide with the ``Brownian motion'' on the original Vicsek set.
