Let \(\mathcal O\) be a complete discrete valuation ring with a perfect residue field of characteristic \(p>0\), and let \(A=\bigoplus_{g\in G}A_g\) be a crossed product \(\mathcal O\)-algebra where \(G\) is a finite \(p\)-group. The main theorem of the paper under review shows the following. If \(A_1\) has a unique simple module and if the corresponding Schur index is 1 then the same is true for \(A\). More complete results can be found in a paper by \textit{A. Betsch} and \textit{P. Schmid} [J. Algebra 168, No. 3, 868-876 (1994; Zbl 0837.20017)].
